Motorola X Google X Phone with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie

There are several rumors are spreading around the world that the Motorola X device with the Android new version Key Lime Pie and would be launched for sale from August 2013, and the pricing of the phone would be $299 at Verizon.  Moto X has been understandably high with talk of oodles of high-end spec – Snapdragon 800 CPUs, Android Key Lime Pie, and a 1080p resolution display – and best-in-class battery life.

The mysterious Motorola X phone might be called Google X, after all, just like the devices in the Nexus line.  Neither Google nor Motorola has officially confirmed the existence of the handset, and the device is not expected to see the light of day until the end of the summer or after, according to a recent report from Phone Arena.

Specs wise, we’ve heard the device would come with a 4.8 inch Sapphire Glass display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and a 4,000 mAh battery. Moreover, the smartphone should be waterproof  like the Sony Xperia Z, and also like the yet to be confirmed new version of Samsung’s Galaxy S4.

Motorola X phone you design yourself

Motorola  customers will be able to choose the colors for the back of the device and the trim for their new Motorola X phone. They will also be able to engrave a name or message to the back cover, as well as upload a photo to be used as the wallpaper on the screen, the report said, citing unnamed sources.  Moto X represents a rebirth of a company that has struggled to sell its Android smartphones.

As per new FCC filings 2 Motorola models XT1030 and XT1080 have passed the Commission’s tests. A Motorola device with number XT1060 also recently passed through the FCC, which was previously known as the XFON on its way to Verizon.

Motorola X also will run the latest version of Google's Android operating system, Android 4.2.2, or Jelly Bean, unsurprising given Motorola is a unit of Google. The report said that Verizon Wireless, among other carriers, is testing out the phone. The Verge reported that the Moto X will not be Verizon's next Droid flagship phone.

The Verge reported that Google-owned Motorola will begin advertising tomorrow in a series of full-page newspaper ads that breaks from the aggressive, techno-warfare aesthetic of the Droid marketing to promise "the first smartphone you can design yourself."

Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside called the Moto X the company's "lead device" in May at the D11 conference, and confirmed that it's meant to compete with the iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy S4.
