SONY Xperia M Android smartphone is now available in India which was earlier rumored to be available in late June this year on some of the websites. This is one of the best smartphones from SONY given the price point at which this has been launched.  The handset has not been officially launched in the company yet but is available through online retailer, Saholic for Rs. 12,990.

The Sony Xperia M is powered by 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8227 processor with 1GB of RAM. It features 4-inch TFT LCD with a resolution of 480x854 pixels and boasts a scratch-resistant display. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sony's Timescape UI on top. 

SONY Xperia M is having 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of microSD card. The Xperia M sports 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, aGPS and NFC. 

This device also comes with 3G HSDPA+ 21Mbps, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, GPS / aGPS, NFC.

Gionee, a Chinese handset vendor, has announced a new smartphone under its E-life series with E-Life E5. The phone gets a 1.5 GHz quad core processor and is very slim at 6.85 mm thickness.

The phone gets a 4.8 inch HD Super Amoled display at 306 PPi with 1280 x 720 pixel screen resolution and is based on Android Jelly Bean v4.2. E-Life E5 comes with a 5 megapixel full HD front camera and an 8 megapixel BSI rear camera.

E5 is powered by a 2000 mAh battery. For better sound output the phone comes with an in-built Digital Theatre System (DTS) and 3D surround system. E5 comes with an in-built memory of 16 GB and supports a 32 GB micro SD card as well.

It will be available in three colors including yellow, graphite black and white. The Gionee E5 will be priced at Rs 19,999.
