The Karbonn Titanium S6 will be launched in the second week of July and
more importantly it will have a price tag of under Rs 20,000. The S6
will ship with Android Jelly Bean (either 4.1 or 4.2) and will come with
a stylus, like the Galaxy Note series. Instead of going for a MediaTek
chip, Karbonn said the S6 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC;
however, there’s no mention of which processor and GPU combination it is
likely to be.
It is an Android-based smartphone, in the form of S6 Titanium, which should land on shelves as a response to the recently teased Micromax Canvas 4, and July appears to be the lucky month for enthusiasts.
Running under Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the new mobile phone should be launched sometime in the second week of July with a price tag of less than Rs 20,000 ($346 / €260), Pradeep Jain, managing director of Karbonn Mobiles, reportedly said.
The phone is said to hit shelves with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of a full HD resolution, and is also expected to include a quad-core processor inside. The handset should arrive on the market with 1GB of RAM, Dual-SIM capabilities, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi tethering, Bluetooth connectivity, and the like. On the back, it is said to feature an 8-megapixel or 13-megapixel photo snapper, paired with a 3MP front camera to enable its users to make video calls while on the go.
